Silk

Silk fabric is know by different names in different parts of the country. In East India it is known as 'Paat', 'Pattu' in South India and 'Resham' in North India. It is a natural fiber produced by several insects; but, generally, only the silk of moth caterpillars has been used for textile manufacturing. The fabric has a shimmering appearance, though has interrupting patterns of weave due to its natural fiber.
